Jump for Joy!

Wow! Time is flying! As you can see, I am not so great at "updating" the blog. I've had numerous inquiries concerning when said blog might be updated. I appreciate the push. I need it. It's definitely a sign that I am not doing this on a regular basis when I have to submit a request for my password each time I log in. There's been so much going on since the last post. Hopefully, I'll update with more pictures and stories in the near future. For now, I'll stick with information concerning the baby! Things are moving right along. The baby is growing and kicking! The kicks are certainly more pronounced, and I am so excited each time I feel "B" move. Stephen was finally able to feel the kicking a few weeks ago. He was absolutely giddy! We've been so excited with each phase, and I adore being pregnant. I feel so privileged to be able to experience this miraculous process. I tease Stephen that he should be jealous because I get to spend all day with the baby! He agrees. My belly has certainly grown, and I really started looking pregnant at the end of December. It was fun going back to school. My students are enthralled with the baby (I've had numerous offers to babysit). Their questions and ideas are hilarious. I told them before break that I was pregnant, and I had students ask if it was a Christmas baby. I really wasn't showing by this point. The whole 40 week gestational period appears to be lost on them. I've not yet received the "Where do babies come from?" question yet. I'm going to let the parents field that one. It's definitely not in my curriculum guide! As you can see from the ultrasound picture, the baby is gorgeous! Am I ready for parenthood or what?! Ha!

We're working on about a hundred different projects in our house right now. When I say we, I mean Stephen. I now have a very distinct deadline in my head...that being the fifth of May, and Stephen has inherited my "ideas". Case in point, I had a great idea of a fabulous color for our bedroom. Stephen spent Thursday night meticulously painting the room. Unfortunately, the color looked different on the walls than it did in my head. He's spending tomorrow painting over it. You gotta feel for the kid, but he's definitely a trooper. I offered to help, but he's too anal retentive for my spastic painting so he'll be going it alone again. As soon as we get the floors down, we're going to start in the nursery, and I'm quite excited about that!

We've started exploring names. Wow. This is going to be difficult. There are so many fabulous names, and I'm not the most decisive person in the world so I anticipate a long, laborious process. It is a very important task, and I can't wait to find the perfect names (we, of course, need to find the perfect girl name and the perfect boy name because we're not finding out the sex). Stephen definitely makes the process hilarious. He has a comment for EVERY name! His current selections are: Zebediah, Stanislov, and Pedro (I hope you can sense the sarcasm). He's also found humor with the name Aswad. Think about it. I'm sure we'll be working on this right up until the day.

Well, I hope to update more frequently as it is one of my new year's resolutions! I know people want the pictures. As Stephen reminds me, most will not read the random chatterings of a pregnant lady! Ha! The next one is the 4-D ultrasound so that one will be awesome! It's not for another 5 weeks or so, but I'll try to post ASAP. As always, we feel tremendously blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. Thank you for your love and support. Please continue to pray for our family. Love to all! God bless!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. .." Jeremiah 29:11-14
